THURSDAY APRIL 16
Today, we are going to learn about WATER SCARCITY. Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet water demand. Two-thirds of the global population (4 billion people) live under conditions of severe water scarcity at least 1 month of the year. Only 0.014% (LESS THAN 1% !) of all water on Earth is both fresh and easily accessible. Of the remaining water, 97% is saline and a little less than 3% is hard to access.
We take for granted how easy it is for us here in America to get clean water...just turn on the faucet! It's not like that in many areas around the world.
I have a Nearpod for you guys to look at with some activities to complete as you go.
