Today, we are going to continue our study of culture by looking at how things spread from one place to another - this is called CULTURAL DIFFUSION.
The first thing I would like you to do is complete the K-W-L chart on Cultural Diffusion.
After you complete the K-W-L- chart, I have a Nearpod presentation below about Cultural Diffusion that I would like for you guys to take a look at. It works just like a slideshow. Just click on it and follow the arrows. There are several video clips in the presentation that we would have watched together in class. There is an question at the end of the presentation that I would like for you guys to answer after you view the presentation.
The last thing I would like for you guys to do today is complete the Cultural Diffusion Research activity.
I want you to select an item – any item – that has spread around the world. This could be a trend like ripped jeans, a certain song or dance, it could be food like pizza, or a religion like Christianity. Any item you would like to research and report on. Choose your item and answer the following questions using any research method you choose.
Write your answers on the worksheet below.
* If you cannot print the worksheet, you can just write the questions and answers on your own paper. Take a picture of your completed assignment and send to me on Remind.
